Received a call the other day to attend a property at Parafield Gardens and fit a double deadlock. A price was agreed upon between myself and a female purporting to be the owner of the property. The customer supplied me with the address and that she would see me there at 9am the next day.
I attended the address and was greeted by a female in the front yard of the premises who informed me that she required the new deadlock to be installed on the front door, pointing to the front door which was shut.
When asked the customer again reiterated that she was the owner, however when I requested identification she stated that everything was in the house and that the door slammed and she had accidentally locked herself out prior to my arrival. I asked which door did she lock herself out, she replied the back door.
I saw that the only lock existing on the back door was a double deadbolt which could only be physically locked and unlocked. I decided to move on.
Later that day I had occasion to travel along that street and noticed that the front yard which had earlier been clear.
